马华党员在大是大非前站稳立场，全力支持总会长追查真相

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰表示，马华党员肯定会在大是大非的原则问题上，站稳正确的立场，全力支持总会长拿督斯里翁诗杰追查巴生港口自贸区真相的行动，因为这不是总会长个人的课题，而是关乎马华和国阵的声誉和命运，以及关系社会正义和人民权益的议题。

“自从总会长宣布一定要还原并公布巴生港口自贸区事件的真相后，他已坦承其处境已陷入十面埋伏的危机，随着各种诬蔑性和抹黑性言论的开始散播，要阻止总会长公布真相的政商势力已正式浮上台面，相信这类似是而非的言论将陆续有来。”

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰强调，追查巴生港口事件真相不是总会长个人的呈英雄之举，也不是翁诗杰一个人的课题，而是一场关系着马华声誉、命运和前程的战争，马华党员看清这个事实，站稳立场，坚决成为总会长的后盾，与总会长站在同一阵线，无畏无惧的对抗那些要破坏社会公义的势力。

“如果总会长能够打赢这场战争，马华将从此以后完全扭转在巴生港口课题上一直被反对党攻击的劣势，相反的，如果总会长在这场战争中失利，绝对不是翁诗杰一个人倒下的问题，而是整个国阵和马华继续承受打击，以及巴生港口事件弊端中涉及的巨额款项，也就是纳税人的血汗钱，将继续受损。”

公务员的执行力决定2012目标的成败

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰说，马华全力支持首相拿督斯里纳吉今日推出提升关键表现领域的2012年目标，并强调公务员的执行力和服务态度更是决定目标的成败，因此不希望公务员出现小拿破仑的偏差事件，违反内阁的原意，打击政府形象。

“政府推出好的政策后，执行者的效率更攸关重要。小拿破仑的存在，是破坏整锅牛奶的蓝靛。”

李伟杰说，首相今日宣布的2012目标和马华的三拼政策相辅相成，即追求全民发展和社会公义。

“政府致力推广学前教育的就学率从目前的60%提高至80%，以及确保学童到4年级时都可以完全掌握好阅读、书写和数学的技巧，与马华的教育理念不谋而合，包括过去所推广的“爱心计划”和“一个都不能少”计划，都是旨在帮助学生，尤其是乡村孩子掌握三语能力，以及降低小学的辍学率。”

李伟杰指出，马华支持首相采取果敢步骤，不分种族消除贫穷，包括确保没有一个国民居住远离柏油路5公里以外的地区，以及兴建5万房子给贫穷人士，提升低收入国人的生活素质。

李伟杰说，民调发现，人民对国内的罪案率感到忧心，马华全力配合政府誓言在2010年杪减低20%街头罪案的目标。除此之外，马华也希望政府采取步骤减少白领阶级的罪案，包括失信案、贪污、朋党等利益冲突事件。另一方面，政府也应该致力打击家庭暴力和贩卖人口等跨国罪案。

李伟杰说，由于巴生河流域的人口激增，政府决定在2012年时，于格拉纳再也轻快铁线增设35个新车箱，这证明政府正积极努力将目前16%的公共交通使用率提升至25%，以方便广大的市民的享有更便捷的公共交通系统。

遗憾被冒名杜撰文告，居心不良破坏马华名誉

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰感到非常遗憾，有人冒用他的名字在匿名网站发表“赵明福死有余辜，别错怪反贪会”的文章！

他表示，当今所有有良知的马来西亚人，都对赵明福的不幸过世感到悲愤及难过，期待政府设立皇家调查委员会，毫不偏袒的全面调查赵明福的死因，还其家人一个公平及合理的交代。

因此，他在7月18日代表马华发表文告吁请警方和反贪污委员会马上对赵明福的骤逝，全力展开严密的调查行动，并促请政府立即成立皇家调查委员会，以查明赵明福的死因。当今大马网站在当天下午有张贴有关文告，而各华文报也在隔天（19日）给予刊登。

然而，让他感到极度遗憾的是，就在华裔社会为赵明福的英年早逝而伤心难过的时刻,有人竟然居心不良利用他的名字,在缺乏监督管理的匿名网站张贴诋毁赵明福的文章，企图破坏他个人和马华的名誉，并刺激赵明福的家人极度难过的心情，这种做法委实对死者和其家属非常不敬。

他表示感同身受赵明福家属及欧阳捍华悲伤的心情，不过，他对欧阳捍华没有经过查证，就贸然引用没有公信力的网站上张贴的冒名文章，并举行新闻发布会来攻击他的“言论”，并要求马华总会长的解释，对这种激进、不去求证、不负责任做法，委实感到费解。这也显示欧阳捍华是行动草率、没有政治道德及操守的从政者，或含有政治议程的抄作。

李伟杰郑重声明，一向来他只在具有公信力的，平面、电子和网络媒体，代表马华新闻局发表党的立场和言论， 并直接上载到马华网站 mca.org.my 以及他的中文部落格，《杰不放弃》leeweikiat.blogspot.com

他不曾，也不会在任何黑箱作业，类似「自由媒体」的匿名网站，张贴代表马华发言的文章。他认为通过网络而盗用他人名字发表文章是一种违背良知的恶意伤害他人名誉的做法。无论如何，他也认为广大的民众不会相信这类伪造文章。

他希望政治人物、媒体和民众，谨慎看待任何来路不明的张贴文章，避免没有人受到干扰和污蔑。他也就此事今早在哥打白沙罗警局报警，以方便调查。同时，他也要求「自由媒体」以负责任的态度，删除有关文章，和欧阳捍华站出来公开道歉。此事已交由马华法律局研究有关法律诉讼的事项。

MCA: MACC must be professional when conducting questioning on suspects and witnesses

MCA Spokesperson Sdr Lee Wei Kiat today expresses that MCA views with deep concern the sudden demise of Teoh Beng Hock at MACC HQ on 16 July 2009 as it has caused much speculation and unhappiness among the public.

He urges the government to look seriously into the case and reiterates that the party is of the view that a Royal Commission should be set up to investigate the unnatural death of Teoh to explain to his family and to quell all unnecessary rumours and unease among the people.

“To show that MACC is not hiding anything from the public, thus the responsibility lies with them to disclose a full report on the entire details and circumstances of Teoh giving his statement to the commission from 5:30 pm on 15 July 2009 until his release the next day at 3:45 am,” Wei Kiat emphasized.

He pointed out that the public is questioning why Teoh’s interrogation had dragged on until early in the morning which had deprived him of sleep and affected his well being in providing his statement to the commission.

On allegations reported in online news that claimed that MACC officers tried to extract false confession from certain municipal councillor and also used derogatory terms, Wei Kiat called on the commission to be professional and improve on their approach in conducting questioning on the suspects. He reiterated that the commission should not resort to violent approach or any form of mental or physical torture when trying to obtain statements from the suspects and witnesses.

“The party calls on the police and government to investigate the claim thoroughly to uphold the credibility of MACC and also to ensure that no party will be victimized. The government should bring those found guilty to court to return justice to the deceased family,” he emphasized.

On behalf of MCA, Wei Kiat expressed that the party offered its deepest condolences to Teoh’s family and fiancée while vowing that the truth will prevail.

政府需成立皇委会查明赵明福死因

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰指出，马华吁请警方和反贪污委员会马上对赵明福的骤逝，全力展开严密的调查行动，并促请政府立即成立皇家调查委员会，以查明赵明福的死因。

“马华对于赵明福的坠楼事件深感惋惜，同时马华也对于此案件表达高度的关注。”

李伟杰表示，政府必须则责无旁贷地严正看待此案，查明赵明福的死因，向赵氏亲属作出明确的交待，以及也避免引起任何不必要的社会舆论和猜测。

他说，反贪污委员会必须提呈一项资料完整和详细的报告，清楚地向公众交待整个扣留和盘诘环节的来龙去脉，包括从7月15日下午5时30分扣留至隔日凌晨3时45分之间的经过，以示公正及廉明。

李伟杰也进一步点出，反贪污委员会把赵明福扣留至凌晨时分之举，已严重影响赵氏的睡眠和自身的健康。

李伟杰也是马华新闻局主任，他促请反贪污委员会秉持专业手法和职业操守，确保在扣留和盘诘嫌犯或证人的时候，切勿使用任何形式的暴力举动及精神虐待，否则这将会影响反贪污委员会的公信力和形象。

李伟杰强调，马华促请警方及政府立即展开深入的彻查行动以维持反贪污委员会的公信力，以及确保没有任何相关人士无辜受害。倘若证实有任何犯罪人士，政府必须将之绳之于法，以期还赵氏家属一个清白。

最后，李伟杰谨代表马华公会向赵明福家属及未婚妻表达最深切的慰问。

MCA Selangor urges Selangor MB to carry out a fair & thorough investigation on the implicated EXCO

MCA Selangor Secretary Sdr Lee Wei Kiat urges the Selangor state government to be fair and transparent in handling the claim that a certain Selangor executive councilor’s office has been used as a meeting place for people connected with “underground business activities.”

Wei Kiat who is also the MCA Subang Division Chairman pointed out that the Selangor Menteri Besar has the responsibility to reply to the claim made by PKR Member of Parliament YB Wee Choo Keong that he has received many complaints from Pakatan Rakyat grassroots and businessmen that one executive councilor from Selangor had abused his position and allowed his office to be used as a meeting venue for people involved with underground business activities.

“The claim against this Selangor EXCO is very shocking and worrying especially this involved traders using government offices as a meeting place. If such a claim is true, then the action by the EXCO is tantamount to abusing his position in having connections with illegal business operators. This is a very serious matter,” Wei Kiat emphasized.

Wei Kiat also urges the Selangor Menteri Besar to seriously look into this matter and conduct an open and thorough investigation to explain to the people.

“I hope that Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim will not treat this matter lightly and sweep it under the carpet. MCA Selangor also urges the concerned EXCO implicated in this matter to relinquish his position quickly to ensure that a fair and thorough investigation could be carried out smoothly on him so that that the interest of the Selangor people will not be jeopardized,” he stressed.

行政议员涉及渎职，雪政府需秉公处理指控

雪州马华秘书李伟杰促雪州政府需秉公、透明处理有关行政议员涉嫌与“偏门生意”业者过往甚密的指控，包括借用办公室予他们作为开会地点等问题。

也是马华梳邦区会主席的李伟杰表示，雪州大臣有必要回应公正党国会议员黄朱强的指控，他多次接获民联基层和雪州商家亲自向他投诉，有一名雪州行政议员滥用办公室，与一些从事“偏门生意”人士会面，并让有关人士使用其办公室开会。

“行政议员涉及与偏门生意业者关系密切的指控非常令人担忧和震惊，尤其是让有关业者使用官府办公室作为开会地点，若指控属实，有关行政议员实际上已涉及渎职行为，更有与非法集团勾结之嫌。这是很严重的情况。”他说道。

李伟杰促雪州政府，尤其是大臣卡立必须认真看待此问题，展开透明公正的全面调查，并对人民作出交代，而非以处理家务事的态度息事宁人。

“雪州马华也要求相关行政议员立即暂停公务职责，直到本身被证明清白为止，以免雪州人民的利益受到任何损害。”

林吉祥挑起无谓争执，为行动党无能转移视线

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰抨击林吉祥试图通过各种无理取闹的口舌之争，以便转移视线，目的是掩饰他本人及行动党在槟城豆蔻村和吉打铲平宰猪场课题的无能作为。

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰指出，林吉祥针对民联州属内发生的豆蔻村和宰猪场课题，仅仅是说了一些无关痛痒的话，可是却对巴生港口自贸区课题及马华总秘书拿督王茀明即将出任国会上议院主席的事情大放厥词、大发议论，根本是一种转移视线的伎俩。

“林吉祥现在应该亲自去解决豆蔻村和宰猪场事件，而不是挑起其它无谓争执来掩盖民联的弊端。行动党在当州政府之前信誓旦旦要捍卫豆蔻村，以及确保回教党公平对待吉打州内的各族人民，可是在两个事件发生后，行动党人不是说他们无能为力，就是把一切问题赖在中央政府和前朝政府身上。”

李伟杰也指出，在发生吉打州铲平宰猪场事件后，行动党表示退出吉打民联，但事实上该党在州政府内并没有行政议员，该党在吉打的市议员和村长也没有辞职，因此所谓退出吉打民联的言论只不过是政治把戏。马华挑战行动党全面退出民联，可是该党至今还是不敢回应马华的挑战。

铲平宰猪场揭穿回教党谎言，全国华裔应与吉打华社站在一起

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰强烈抨击回教党铲平吉打州宰猪场的行动，已完全揭穿了回教党在选举期间作出的所有美丽口号，根本是只为了捞取选票的谎言。他也呼吁全国华社与吉打华社站在一起，全面抗议回教党的极端行为。

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰指出，回教党每逢选举时候，就高调的提出“全民回教党”的宣言，口口声声说要不分种族宗教的照顾全民权益，可是如今当了政府后，却不顾吉打华社的感受，把州内唯一宰猪场铲平，这已经是一种毫不避忌的出卖选民之举。

“马华呼吁全国华裔声援吉打华社，坚决的向回教党政府说不。回教党以各种美丽口号捞取非马来人的选票，华社必须看清其真面目，不能再纵容回教党这种公然欺骗人民的狂妄行为！”

李伟杰也严厉批评行动党的无能作为。作为民联成员之一的行动党不仅无法阻止其伙伴回教党的铲平宰猪场决定，只能好像反对党那样，向民联本身执政的吉打政府进行抗议，而根本没有解决问题。

“吉打行动党退出吉打民联的行动只不过是做做样子，以制造他们很不满的假象，事实上根本无济于事。行动党如果真的要反对回教党的行动，就应该全面退出民联，包括在槟城和雪兰莪等民联州属。”

加强施政机制，落实公平政策

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰呼吁首相以最果敢的决心，加强施政机制，认真落实公平对待各族人民的政策和措施，为各族权益创造双赢局面，以确保种族关系的持续和谐及最终达致“一个马来西亚”的治国目标。

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰指出，首相拿督斯里纳吉在马华与华团庆贺他荣任第六任首相晚宴上作出数项宣布，包括政府将在明年起设立一个完全以绩效制为考量的奖学金、关于华小可在政府地兴建的事宜、以及解决土著固打问题的新政策等。马华对首相的宣布表示欢迎，相信这些也都是广大华社长期以来对政府的期望与诉求。

“政策都是好的，但最重要的是如何落实有关政策。以纳吉为首的政府必须尽快宣布具体的执行措施，并确保政府制定的新政策能够得到真正的、全面的落实，尤其必须严格监督作为政策执行者的公务员，任何对政府政策法外立法、私自诠释、扭曲偏差的小拿破仑言行，都必须给予严厉的惩罚行动。”

李伟杰强调，马华内阁成员将全面配合首相的新政策，除了提出建议以及参与制定政策之外，也将监督施政成效。马华将以“三拼”奋斗纲领，全力支持首相纳吉“一个马来西亚”的目标。

违背联邦宪法世俗精神，马华反对断肢法对付攫夺匪

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰谴责首相署部长再米尔建议以回教刑事法对付攫夺匪是矫枉过正的做法，而且有关刑罚的实施也违背联邦宪法的世俗精神。

“有关建议不符合大马作为世俗国的国情，也本末倒置，如果此例一开，将导致宗教极端和保守主义大行其道。此外，断肢法过于残暴，违反人道主义，与大马多元、中庸国情是不相符的。”

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰表示，真正解决攫夺匪日益猖獗的方法，是通过加强警方人力来达成目标。警方需加强打击攫夺案的行动，将攫夺匪缉拿归案，再由司法来裁定他们所应获得的惩罚。

李伟杰强调，马华反对任何企图实施回教刑事法的建议，包括以断肢法对付攫夺匪。马华一贯的立场是，坚持捍卫联邦宪法的世俗精神。

MCA upholds Federal Constitution & opposes Islamic state

MCA spokesman and Central Committee member Lee Wei Kiat reiterated MCA’s firm insistence of abiding by the guiding principles of the Federal Constitution in objecting against an Islamic state in Malaysia. Therefore, MCA opposes the proposed unity government between UMNO and PAS, whereby the latter’s goals are to achieve an Islamic state.

In regards to the issue of the unity government, Wei Kiat emphasized that cooperation must not be based on any form of "Malay supremacy’ principle or Islamist ideals. “This would potentially marginalize non-Malays and non-Muslims, and possibly infringe upon their rights as well.”

Lee, who is also MCA Information and Communication Bureau Chairman stated that the party believes that Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Rakyat should work together on issues of national importance, such as economic recovery and good governance. “This form of cooperation would not only be in the interests of the people and the greater good, but also adheres to the guiding principles of the Federal Constitution.”

“MCA believes that although the different political factions may hold different interests and goals, they must cooperate on national issues in order to serve the greater good of the people, and promote a functioning welfare state. Among these pressing issues is a need for improved dialogue and greater trust between the parties, maintaining a stable political environment, and perhaps most importantly, dealing with the global economic recession in its effect on Malaysia.”

马华反对神权回教国，反对与回教党组联合政府

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰重申，马华始终坚持以联邦宪法为依归，反对在马来西亚建立神权回教国是马华一贯的立场，因此马华反对与仍然以建立回教国为目标的回教党组成联合政府。

针对巫统与回教党合作的课题，李伟杰强调有关合作不能以大马来人主义或回教主义为议程，以免非马来人及非回教徒的权益遭边缘化。

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰表示，马华认同国阵与民联应该基于拼经济及维持政治稳定的原因进行合作，为国家及人民的整体利益并肩努力，有关合作也必须以建国原则和联邦宪法为最终依归。

“马华认为，虽然各别政治阵营拥有不同的理念与议程，但为了国家及人民的福祉，国阵与民联应该进行朝野合作，包括针对各项经济、政治、社会议题展开正面及互信的谈判和协商，确保国家政局稳定，全力应对经济不景。”

MCA denounces PAS’ proposal of unity government

MCA Spokesperson Sdr Lee Wei Kiat today emphasized that once the talk on a unity government between PAS and UMNO materializes, it will result in the Islamization of the country while at the same time creating a scenario whereby only the Malays will be in the government while non-Malays will be at the Opposition front. He added that under this circumstance, the rights of the non-Malays maybe be marginalized. Thus, MCA strongly opposes any proposal by PAS to form a unity government with UMNO.

"There is a hidden agenda behind the call by PAS to form a unity government with UMNO, that is to strengthen their party’s position in Malaysia and then to implement their ulterior goal of setting up an Islamic state in the country. As MCA has been consistent in our party’s position of opposing any proposal by PAS to set up an Islamic state in this country, the party cannot and will not accept such a proposal,” he stressed.

Wei Kiat who is also the MCA Information and Communication Bureau Chairman criticized the resolutions tabled at the recently concluded PAS assembly which among others include maintaining the 30% quota for Bumiputeras, opposing the decision by the government in liberalizing the 27 service sub-sectors in the country and calling for the banning of Sisters in Islam (SIS). “PAS has shown that the so-called democracy, equality, justice and the slogan “PAS for All” as advocated by them is mere rhetoric. The resolutions as endorsed by PAS have shown that PAS’ ulterior objective is to set up a theocratic Islamic state.”

Wei Kiat also challenges DAP and PKR to announce their firm stand on PAS’ motives of forming a unity government with UMNO with the ultimate aim of establishing a theocratic Islamic state. “If PAS fails to respond, then perhaps it is timely for DAP and PKR with withdraw their association with PAS.”

将导致非马来人权益边缘化，马华反对回巫联合政府

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰表示，一旦巫统与回教党组成联合政府，将导致大马来人主义以及回教主义的抬头，形成马来人在朝、非马来人在野的局面，在这种情况下，非马来人权益将被边缘化，因此马华反对回教党与巫统组成联合政府的建议。

此外，李伟杰也指出，回教党提出联合政府的背后议程，不外是为了在壮大势力后，能够顺利推动其神权回教国目标，基于不能接受神权回教国的原则，马华反对联合政府的建议。

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰抨击，回教党在其大会上所提出的多项议决，包括要求政府保留30%土著固打制、反对政府开放27个次领域的措施、要求查禁回教姐妹组织等，显示回教党口头上高喊公正、民主和平等，打出全民回教党的口号，根本是只为了捞取选票，这些议决已经曝露出回教党的最终目的就是要建立神权回教国。

李伟杰也挑战行动党和公正党正式与回教党断绝关系，因为回教党对两党的反对视若无睹，一意孤行的提出联合政府建议，如果两党继续姑息回教党，则表示两党可以容忍回教党为了推行回教国目标而不惜与任何人合作的投机行为。

Divergent positions on unity government reveal internal conflicts within Pakatan Rakyat – So-called co-operation merely to fish votes

PAS President Dato’ Seri Abdul Hadi Awang has not given up the idea of a unity government with UMNO. His deputy, Nasharudin Mat Isa has taken a similar stand in that he mentioned that PAS is open for unity talks. However, both PKR and DAP do not accept the same position. “This indicates how deep the internal conflicts within Pakatan Rakyat plunges that a matter of such national interest still is unable to be resolved by the three Opposition parties,” remarked Sdr Lee Wei Kiat, the Spokesperson for MCA.

Wei Kiat, pointed out that, “Hadi Awang had informed the public that the concept a unity government had been acknowledged and received the support of DAP and PKR. Immediately in response, both DAP and PKR denied knowledge of such talks. PKR Deputy President Dr Syed Husin Ali refuted PAS’ claims that PKR supported the formation of a unity government. Meanwhile, DAP Stalwart Lim Kit Siang also disputed Hadi Awang’s claim that DAP was positive to PAS talks of a unity government.”

Adding that “in the past, Pakatan Rakyat leaders would say that they have an internal machinery where all disagreements were voiced out, and problems solved through musyawarah. They further claimed that if a consensus was not reached, the issue would be discussed further,” to which Wei Kiat said, “from what we’ve observed, there clearly isn’t any instances of consensus within Pakatan Rakyat. Formation of a unity government is a very major national matter which involves the country’s future direction. If they cannot reach an agreement on this issue, it reveals that their so-called ‘teamwork’ runs along the lines of empty talk. Their co-operation is merely to garner votes from the public.”

On Pakatan Rakyat’s claims that any disagreements within the internal machinery shows there is democracy within the Opposition, Wei Kiat dismissed it as “an excuse. In reality, Pakatan Rakyat’s disagreement over the unity talks reveals that their internal machinery is not a feasible nor a workable idea. Trying to implement their consensus decision is an exercise in futility. They are unlike Barisan Nasional where cabinet decisions are reached and carried out based on consensus.”

Meanwhile, rebuking PAS for claiming that it is able to co-operate with anyone including non-Muslims, Wei Kiat who also heads the party’s Information and Communication Bureau further highlighted that “PAS is an opportunist party who will join in a partnership with any party just for the sake of wrestling power and for self benefit. Although PAS claims they champion human rights, a welfare state for everybody, in reality, this is just their façade to fish for votes.”

回教党联合政府建议是投机主义，民联合作虚有其表精神分裂

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰表示，由回教党提出与巫统组联合政府的课题，已曝露民联严重的内部矛盾，显示民联的合作是一种虚有其表、精神分裂的状态。

李伟杰也抨击，回教党声称可以与巫统合作，显示该党为了得到政权和利益而与任何人合作，这完全是一种没有原则的投机主义，该党口口声声为公正、人权斗争的口号，也根本是只为了捞取选票。

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰指出，哈迪阿旺多次强调所谓的联合政府概念得到民联成员党的认同，但在另一方面，公正党和行动党却说不认同，林吉祥甚至表示这个概念不曾在民联内部讨论。

“这个矛盾显示民联的内部商谈机制，例如所谓的领导层会议，根本是一个虚有其表、没有实际功能的形式化会议，因为民联领袖连一个课题到底有没有讨论过都各说各话、自相矛盾。”

李伟杰强调，民联成员党往往为了掩饰本身的内部矛盾，而抛出所谓“有争论代表三党平起平坐、相互制衡”的说辞，根本是自欺欺人的藉口，因为联合政府课题关乎大原则和大方针，如果连这个课题也没有共识，表示民联是一个没有原则、纯粹为了政权利益的组织。

MCA Spokesperson Sdr Lee Wei Kiat today criticized the statement made by the PAS Youth wing which urged the government to maintain the 30% quota for Bumiputeras as this stand has contradicted the stand taken by them in the past which was to abolish the New Economic Policy (NEP). “The stand taken by PAS Youth clearly shows that they are opportunists and are trying to score political mileage during their party assembly,” he said.

Wei Kiat pointed out that PKR de-facto leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has many times reiterated that he will abolish NEP if he successfully formed the government and he also mentioned that he will introduce New Economic Agenda. He added that Anwar had also in many occasions reiterated that he will treat all Malaysians equally regardless of race, skin colour and religion. Thus, the statement made by the PAS Youth wing urging the government to maintain the 30% quota for Bumiputeras does not reflect any sincerity from the Pakatan Rakyat’s coalition towards the public.

“Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Sri Najib’s recent announcement on the liberalization of services and financial sector is aimed at bringing the country’s economy towards a more competitive environment and is also in line with the ASEAN regional integration and as well as the trend of globalization. His recent visit to China is aimed at fostering closer bilateral relations between both countries. However, the calls by the PAS Youth wing in urging the government to maintain the 30% for Bumiputreas is a short-sighted move and it will not help to bring the country forward,” Wei Kiat emphasized.

Sdr Lee Wei Kiat who is also the MCA Information and Communication Bureau Chairman challenges Anwar and Lim Guan Eng to declare their stand clearly, to explain to the voters the stand taken by PAS Youth wing and whether they either agree to abolish or maintain the NEP as stated by PAS Youth.

回青团要保留30%土著固打，民联说要废新经政策只为捞选票

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰抨击回青团要求政府保留30%土著固打制，显示民联之前口口声声要废除新经济政策的宣言，根本是一种旨在选举期间捞取选票的投机言论。

李伟杰指出，以公正党实权领袖安华为首的民联，多次声称要在执政后废除新经济政策，并提出所谓的“新经济议程”，宣称要不分种族、肤色与宗教的平等对待各族人民，如今回青团的这项要求已曝露出民联这些宣言根本是言不由衷。

“首相纳吉近期陆续宣布了针对服务业及金融业的开放措施，决心带领我国经济朝向更开放与公平的竞争环境，以顺应东协一体化及全球化的国际趋势，近日的访华之行也努力开拓马中两国更紧密与全面的合作，但回青团却在这个时候提出要求保留30%土著固打制，无疑是一种固步自封、短视保守的倒退言行。”

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰挑战安华及林冠英，针对回青团的动议表态，明确向选民交待对于回青团言论以及民联是否赞同废除新经济政策等课题的立场。

电脑出错理由难接受，理大副校长应考虑辞职

马华中央党部发言人李伟杰要求理科大学针对4574名学生录取后又除名的事件作出合理解释，并鉴定应该为此事件负上责任的相关官员，采取必要行动，包括副校长阿末苏基里本身亦必须考虑引咎辞职。

李伟杰表示，马华对于理科大学的严重错误感到非常不满，有关事件不仅有损理科大学的“顶尖大学”地位，对我国高等教育的形象带来负面影响，更不可原谅的是无辜受害的学子们所遭受的伤害，不管是对他们的心理或升学，都造成难以弥补的打击。

也是马华新闻局主任的李伟杰指出，从受害学生人数高达4574名来看，校方所给予的电脑出错问题的理由，是让人无法接受的。

“校方除了必须尽快解决问题，亦必须以透明、问责、果断的态度，对应该负责任者采取严厉惩罚行动。”
